Skellig Islands
The Skellig Islands (Irish: Na Scealaga) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located 16 km west of Bolus Head on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland.01 It consists of two main islands: Skellig Michael (also known as Great Skellig) and Little Skellig, which together form an Important Bird Area established by BirdWatch Ireland in 2000.1 These islands are known for their thriving gannet and puffin populations as well as an early Christian monastery
